The universal relevance when considering the pervasive impact of culture on our lives. Culture, an intricately complex concept, molds our thoughts, words, and actions. Our views on politics, religion, and even trivial matters like food preferences are influenced by the cultural environment. Culture operates as a powerful force of exclusion, shaping our perspectives and influencing decisions.

The dangers of cultural entrenchment are evident in the tendency toward groupthink, where the desire for agreement within like-minded communities intensifies opinions, often leading to extreme positions. This phenomenon, observed in various societies, is fueled by the comfort and validation derived from consensus.

In the digital age, filter bubbles further isolate individuals, reinforcing cultural biases and impeding the exchange of diverse perspectives essential for a functioning democracy. The consequences of cultural isolation are profound, affecting moral judgment and contributing to societal polarization.

Cultural shifts, such as the #MeToo movement, demonstrate the dynamic nature of culture and its impact on societal norms. However, the question remains: How much are we, as individuals, shaped by the cultural bubbles we inhabit? Examining our cultural influences and acknowledging the potential limitations they impose is crucial for fostering a more open-minded and empathetic society. It prompts us to consider alternative viewpoints and recognize the importance of transcending cultural confines for the collective well-being of humanity.
